Catching Up
So it’s been sometime since I’ve updated anything on here. Since I had National Guard AT for that one week I’ve been playing catch up at work and can’t seem to get ahead. I can’t wait for a break, which I don’t know when that will be. This weekend I have drill and then Monday I fly out to Boulder, CO for work and then come back for another week of National Guard AT and then school starts again in August.
I hope everyone had a nice 4th of July. Jen and I went up to Richmond, VA to see some old friends from Florida for the 4th. We went up Friday morning and left for home Saturday morning. Oh I almost forgot, the weekend before the fourth Jen, her mother, and I went to the Faith, Family, Freedom Festival. It’s a Christian concert with fireworks at the end. So Newsboys was headlining the event and if you get a chance to see them in concert do it. The drummer from Newsboys did something that I have never seen or heard of it. He did an incredible drum solo and me explaining it does not do it justice. You just have to watch the video below, but overall they are just unbelievable in concert. Honestly I was a bit apprehensive going, mainly because I think as I get older the more and more I do not want to be around people, but I’m so happy I went.
Some other news tomorrow Jen and I are going to be going to take our test for our motorcycle permits. What’s probably going to happen is once I get my permit and learn to ride I’m going to sell my truck and get a motorcycle to use as my daily commuting vehicle. Gas is just getting ridiculous and my truck does not exactly have the best gas mileage. Don’t know how true this is, but I heard last week that gas will be around 7 bucks a gallon in another two years. As much as gas has gone up I wouldn’t doubt it. The week I went back and forth to my Guard unit I spend about 200 bucks in gas I can’t imagine how much it would be at 7 bucks a gallon. Fortunately, Jen will be working 5 minutes from my office so we could carpool if need be.
Started doing a bit of 3D work in between projects and I’ll posted it up later today.
Till next time folks.
Great Scott!
So Jen has been hinting telling me that she wants a motorcycle, yes a motorcycle. She has been riding a bit with her dad who has a Honda Goldwing Trike (not his) and has really enjoyed it. So ya she wants a motorcycle now, which I’m not totally against just against the money factor of one. Honestly I wouldn’t mind having a motorcycle, if I did have a motorcycle I could abandon my dream of having a Jeep Wrangler. For awhile now I’ve wanted a Jeep just so I can knock off the doors and roof for those nice North Carolina days and maybe do some off-road stuff. But if I get a motorcycle that would be fine, yes we would have to get two because I’m not letting Jen drive me around on. We would of course need to get our motorcycle license and then of course save for the motorcycles. No Harleys for us, maybe later, but for now we’re looking at Honda’s models, so we’ll see happens. Any ideas would be great.
Sunday night I fly out for Connecticut for the week and then I have about a month home before I fly out again for work. This week’s trip is perfect timing because I have finished school at least for the summer and that is a blessing because I needed the time off.
So the day other I told you about Oreo the new cat, well when I got home that day he was still camping out by our slider. I seriously think this cat thinks he belongs to us.
What if one man attempted to tell the story of Back to the Future through music? Back to the Future is really a great movie, a classic I must say, but having it as a musical is even better!
